LEAP FROG
‘Leap Frog’ 2018 is a developmental piece, which will be recreated to a larger scale. I plan on it being the first in a series of gouache paintings with flavours derived from the Ukiyo-e period and traditional tattoo artistry, complemented by my signature vibrant palette.
Style challenges
Draw this in your style (DTIYS) challenges became an insta phenomenon in 2018. Established and hobby artists alike participated by either creating a DTIYS piece or participating in another artists challenge. It was and still is a great way for artists to meet, share each others work, and challenge themselves to think outside the box in regards to communicating their own style.
I’ve included a small selection of my painted DTIYS challenges I participated in from Sophie McPike, Mel Stringer and Sai aka ‘Love Soup’.
