my 4 step process
I like to break down all of my portrait commissions into a four step process to make sure my clients and I are on the same page each step of the way. It also means my clients can see I’m on the right track and request any minor changes at each stage rather than on completion.
Step 1: Client sends at least one reference photo
Step 2: Initial Sketch
Step 3: Final Line Work
Step 4: Final Colour
Getting a portrait commissioned is such a special process, so I like to approach each one I create as a collaboration with my clients, rather than simply a service they’ve payed for.
