Acrylic Jewellery

Cleaning

The best way to clean your CACTVS acrylic jewellery is to use a microfiber or jewellery cloth to loosen dirt and remove smudges. For anything more stubborn, a little dab of water should do the trick!

You should not use chemicals, glass spray, or any other abrasive cleaning materials. Rough cleaning products and sponges will also tarnish and scratch the surface of the acrylic.

My earring post broke off, what can I do?

All CACTVS Acrylic jewellery is hand assembled and sealed using a synthetic bonding compound. Posts and metal backings are adhered last using high quality jewellery glue. Sometimes posts can snap off due to many reasons including excess pressure or changes in temperature. If your post snaps off, and you still have it, we suggest re gluing the post using a high quality jewellery glue like E6000 or one which can bond metal and plastics.

Damages

Acrylic should not be positioned near to any naked flame, or exposed to temperatures in excess of 75 degrees C.
CACTVS acrylic jewellery is strong and durable, but can snap if it is bent or dropped on a hard surface.

Be careful with perfumes, sunscreen, insect repellant, moisturisers, and fake tan. These products can sometimes tarnish acrylic and cause discolouration or a change in texture.

Do not wear your acrylic when swimming. While acrylic is water proof, salt or chlorinated water can and will tarnish both the acrylic and jump rings.
